The island is situated amidst the Antilles and north of the equator, in winter and until mid spring we get big northern swells due to disturbances in the Atlantic north. These waves are stron, regular and long. They create waves of 3 foot to 20 foot (average 2 foot). The colder the winter is in Europe and North America the more powerful the waves will be!

In summer and autumn conditions are calm (waves for beginners) except for the tropical depressions that can turn into powerful hurricanes. Buildings and houses are built to resist to these storms, there is no danger. This phenomenon, from June to October, can create, if the cyclone is at good distance (800 to 1200km),  beautiful waves on a sea of oil. Summer is still reserved for those who want to surf in small waves, except when cyclonic.

TROPICAL SURF CAMP is located in St anne village, surrounded by the all year best surf spots of the island and maybe the all caribbean zone !

There are as many left than right breaking waves, mostly reef breaks, making it easy surf since they are always breaking at the same spot, wave sets are regular and slow. All together, you can be sure to find ideal conditions to get better and to truly enjoy. You can surf up to 200 meters and do up to 15 moves on one wave. We also have litle beach breaks for beginners, big and powerful waves for more experimented surfers and huge shore waves that we can reach by boat.
